Nigeria rice 'contaminated, not plastic' - NAFDAC

Plastic rice
It is no longer news that in Nigerian even the toothpick they use is imported from China. But the problem Nigerians face is that all the products coming from China are nothing but fake. In China their manufacturers is concern about quantity not quality.  So when you hear China rice then your mind will go this must fake. When the issue of Plastic Rice people were not surprised. Now NAFDAC says is not plastic but contaminated. Contamination or Plastic rice must be poison.
 
Lab tests on a consignment of rice seized by Nigerian customs officials show that the product is "contaminated" but not plastic, the National Agency For Food and Drugs (Nafdac) says.
The rice contained bacteria "above permissible limits", a senior Nafdac official said.

Customs officials' claims that the rice seized in Lagos last week was "plastic" sparked confusion and official denials.

The health minister intervened, saying there was "no evidence" for the claims.
Tests on samples of the rice showed that it was "unwholesome for human consumption", exceeding the maximum limit for bacteria including "Coli form", Nafdac said in a statement.
The Nigerian customs service, speaking at the same press conference, said that it had acted on "credible intelligence" that "large consignments of plasticized rice were.... to be shipped from the Far East to Africa".

Brazil police detain wife of murdered Greek ambassador Amiridis.

Police in Rio de Janeiro have detained the Greek ambassador's wife and two other people on suspicion of involvement in his murder.
The envoy, Kyriakos Amiridis, had been missing since Monday.
His body was found in the boot of a burnt-out car on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro on Thursday.

Police suspect Mr Amiridis, 59, was the victim of a "crime of passion". His Brazilian wife, Francoise Amiridis, and a local policeman are being questioned.

Police in Rio are working on the assumption that Mrs Amiridis was having an extramarital affair with the detained policeman and had conspired to kill him, local media reported.

The couple had been living together for 15 years and their daughter is 10 years old, local news programme RJTV reported.

Two other men have been held for questioning. Police initially said they were both implicated in the murder, but they later stated that one of the men was only a witness.

Mr Amiridis served as consul in Rio de Janeiro between 2001 and 2004 and returned to the country as ambassador earlier this year.


He had travelled from Brasilia to the city of Nova Iguacu, north of Rio, to spend the Christmas holidays there with his wife and her parents.

Mrs Amiridis reported her husband missing on Wednesday.
She told police that he had left the flat in the car he had rented on Monday evening without telling her where he was going.
The burnt-out car was found on Thursday under a flyover on one of the main access roads to Rio with a body inside.

The body was burned beyond recognition, but Rio police said it was that of Mr Amiridis.

Investigators also said that they had found blood stains on the sofa in the flat the couple was staying in.

They told local media that they thought Mr Amiridis had been killed in the flat before his body was taken away in his rental car.


Police in Brazil say the Greek ambassador to the country was killed by a local police officer who was having an affair with the envoy's wife.

It was later discovered that a Policeman(Ambassador's wife lover) killed the ambassador.

Kyriakos Amiridis had been missing since Monday. His body was found in a burnt-out car on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro on Thursday.

The officer had confessed to stabbing him to death, investigators said.

The ambassador's Brazilian wife Francoise Amiridis has been detained along with the officer and his cousin.
They are being questioned at a police station.

President Buhari Lied Against Jonathan on Christmas Day!

On Christmas Day of 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari hosted leading citizens of the Federal Capital Territory led by the minister of the FCT, Muhammad Bello, and during the visit he returned to his old habit of blaming and said, and I quote, "there was no money saved, no infrastructure built, and power is still our main problem."

This is patently untrue and without mincing words, President Buhari lied.
Former President Jonathan left $2.07 billion in the Excess Crude Account when he handed over to President Buhari on May 29, 2015. He also left Foreign reserves of $29. 6 billion for the incoming government in May 2015.

If ex President Jonathan left no savings, with what money did President Muhammadu Buhari use to bail out those states that could not pay salary (mostly APC states) after he assumed office in May 2015? Of course the Central Bank of Nigeria did not print money! That money came from somewhere.

On Tuesday the 26th of July, 2016, President Buhari commissioned the $1.457bn Abuja-Kaduna standard gauge rail project. This was a project built and COMPLETED by the Jonathan administration. It is a 187 kilometer railway that enables Nigerians to live in Kaduna and work in Abuja. Is this not infrastructure?

The only federal university in President Buhari's state is the federal university Dutsin-Ma was built by former President Jonathan who also built 11 other federal universities in Zamfara, Yobe, Nasarawa, Kogi, Taraba, Gombe, Jigawa, Kebbi, Ebonyi, Bayelsa and Ekiti states.
By building 12 new federal universities and 165 almajiri schools and renovating 507 additional secondary schools all over Nigeria through the Universal Basic Education Commission, the Jonathan administration not only increased access to education, the policy also had the intended side effect of putting hundreds of thousands of youths to work which stimulated the economy and contributed to GDP growth. Are these not infrastructure?

To prove that former President Jonathan prudently and judiciously developed all parts of Nigeria, I will now list, state by state, the infrastructure that the Jonathan administration invested in every state of Nigeria. I challenge President Muhammadu Buhari to contradict me.
In Abia, Jonathan completed power plants in Aba and Alaoji and reconstructed and reopened Ohafia barracks to stem kidnapping.

In Adamawa Jonathan constructed 5 Almajiri schools and the NAF Comprehensive Sec School and a Terminal at the Yola airport.

In Anambra Jonathan completed Onitsha River Port, repaired Onitsa-Owerri Rd and kick started the process of the 2nd Niger Bridge.

In Akwa Ibom Jonathan established a new Federal Polytechnic in Ukana and the Nkari Earth dam and rehabilitated FG rds.

In Bauchi Jonathan equipped the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital Bauchi and built 5 Almajiri schools.

In Benue Jonathan is building the Loko-Oweto bridge, completed the Makurdi Water Supply Scheme supplying to 1 million people.

In Borno, Jonathan has fought desertification with the Great Green Wall Project and rehabilitated the Uba – Mbalala Road. He also set up the Presidential Initiative for the Northeast and the Victims Support Fund which raised ₦59 billion for the Northeast. Interestingly, it is from this PINE that a certain Babachir Lawal is accused of pilfering ₦270 million from.

In Cross River Jonathan rehabilitated the Margaret Ekpo Int’l Airport and Modernised the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital.

In Delta Jonathan has taken Itakpe-Ajaokuta-warri railway to 80% completion and kick started the $16B Gas City Project at Ogidigben
In Ebonyi Jonathan established the Fed University in Ndufe – Alike, repaired over 250km of roads and built power substations.

In Edo Jonathan completed the Ihovbor power Station, reconstructed the Benin-Ore-Sagamu and equipped UBTH.

In Ekiti Jonathan established the Federal University in Oye – Ekiti, and repaired hundreds of kilometers of Federal Rds.

In Enugu Jonathan gave the S. East their first International Airport and revived the PH-Enugu rail line.

In Gombe Jonathan established the Federal University in Kashere and built 5 Almajiri schools.
In Imo Jonathan rehabilitated the Sam Mbakwe International Airport and completed power stations and built sub stations. #GEJisworking.

In Jigawa Jonathan established the Federal University in Dutse, built 5 Almajiri schools and built silos.

2017 budget kitchen got highest  

President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2017 budget to the national assembly on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, promising economic recovery. Unlike 2016 budget where some pages lost before presentation 2017 didn't suffer such. You can remember the kitchen saga, just to tell you how important is kitchen to this present Nigerian government.

As expected the budget, which amounted to N7.298 trillion naira, was different from the 2016 budget in many ways.

Total budget

N7.298 trillion budget.

Aim of the budget

The aim is to pull the country out of recession by spending 30.7 percent on capital expenditure.

Ministry with highest allocation

The ministry of power, works and housing at 520 billion.

More money

The allocation for the Niger Delta Amnesty programme tripled to amount at N65 billion in 2017 as against 20 billion in 2016. Also, the allocation for the Judiciary increased to N100 billion in 2017 as against 70 billion in 2016.

Restore life to the Northeast

45 billion was allocated for rehabilitation of the northeast

Benchmarks:

Crude oil: $42.5 per barrel as against $38 in 2016,

Naira: N305 per dollar as against N197 in 2016

Loans for entreprenuers


N15 billion was budgeted for the Bank of Industry and Bank of Agriculture. $1.3 billion was also budgeted for the Development Bank of Nigeria, which is expected to kick off operations in 2017.

Tax credit for exporters

N20 billion was budgeted for the Export Expansion Grant which is expected to encourage exporters.

More loans

N500 billion was budgeted for the Special Intervention programme (Home grown school feeding and N-Power Job creation programmes)

Revenue

Udo Udoma, the minister of budget and national planning, has said that the government expects to make 10 trillion as revenue for 2017 fiscal year and N5 trillion would be from the sale of crude oil.

“Non-oil revenues will rake in about N5.06 trillion. These revenues are expected to come from corporate and company taxes, Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, Stamp Duties, capital gains tax and value added tax,”

Debt servicing

The federal government is expected to expend N1.5 trillion in servicing domestic debts, however, the federal government earmarked N1.3 trillion in the 2016 budget.

On foreign debt, the federal government would spend N175.9 billion as against N54.5 billion spent on foreign debt servicing in the 2016 budget.

Salaries

Recurrent expenditures would gulp N1.9 trillion, about N1.8 trillion was budgeted for the same purpose in the 2016 appropriation.

Borrowing

The federal government also intends to borrow a total of N2.3 trillion, out of which N1.5 trillion would be sourced locally while N1.1 trillion would be sourced internationally.

In the 2016 budget, N1.2 billion was reportedly borrowed locally, while N635.8 billion was gotten through foreign borrowing.

Anti-corruption in the state house?

A surprising entry in the state house section of the 2017 budget is anti corruption which had a budget of 8,539,200.

Kitchen Budget

The budget for meals at the state house was N123,223,000 and this is excluding the N168.46m budgeted for the same item for the president and vice president.

N 100,820,300 was also budgeted for the purchase for canteen/ kitchen equipment.

Refreshments

N97,200,000, was budgeted for refreshments and meals for the state house apart from the amount budgeted for catering and foodstuff.

Vehicle maintenance

N94,575,000 was budgeted for the purchase of tyres for bullet proof vehicles, plain Toyota cars, CCU vehicles and other operational vehicles in the state house.

New vehicles

There were five provisions for the purchase of vehicles in the budget of the state house, president that all amounted to N396,000,000.

Trips and Sitting allowance

The president and vice president are expected to spend N1.05 billion on foreign trips and N353.115m on local trips.

Also, a total of N765,892,740 was budgeted for sitting allowance and honorarium in the state house, president and vice president’s offices.

Am not condemning making money with blog, but if only blog is all about making money as some people think then where is the passion and love for blogging. You feel you can post anything information without source of it just for traffic and money. Have a rethink because you can't fool and deceive everybody like googleadsenseblog and lindaikejiblog.

Do you want to blog, do you have intention of blogging,do you want to make blog your hubby or occupation? This is a nice idea but first think of what you are best at. Think of what you have passion for. Think what you are at the top of the game and what you can deliver at any moment. This is what bloggers called NICHE.  Your niche suppose to be different from mine unless you are writing on everyday life & events. Unless you want to be online news or magazine.

In Nigeria, the people that don't know the in-depth of blogging call Lindaikejiblog mother of all bloggers. This is a very big mistake because no single post in her blog that can pass Real-time Content Analysis.

Googleadsense blog: this is a blog that suppose to lead the way why others follow. Have you been a victim of google adsense rejection as a blogger? Is insufficient content and navigation part of the reason?. Is amazing that navigation include pages, categories, labels and internal with external links. In this particular blog, one time it posted an article about mobile speed load introduction but funny enough it takes a mobile phone about 3-4 minutes to load a post on this blog. MMM frozen for festivities holiday and the reaction that follows. When I wrote an article a truth behind MMM I got a lot of negative comments asking me not to condemn what is a lucrative network business in Nigerian. Some even told me that MMM has come to help Nigerian out of recession. I don't know how truth is this but let me use Dom Helder Camara quote on the poor and food to summaries my issue with MMM.

When I wrote an article on the truth behind MMM many people called me an enemy of MMM but today the same people are asking me about what happened to MMM. In my last article I made it clear that MMM don't pay during Christmas holidays. You can recall that in China December 2015 that MMM stop paying any form of payment or help but unfortunately MMM crashed finally in January 2106 in China. Please here am not saying that MMM will collapse in Nigeria in January 2017! Am just following the MMM histories and activities. You can find out yourself that MMM began operation in April 2015 in China, refuse to pay in December 2015 and crashed in January 24, 2106 in China.

Before we go on let discuss how MMM operates. 
Mr A pays some amount of money may be to the MMM.
MMM ask Mr B to pay Mr A the same money Mr A pay to MMM + 30% interest.
Mr B is expecting Mr C to pay him with 30% interest.
Mr C will collect from Mr D with 30% interest.
Mr D will expect another Mr E to pay him with 30% interest.

Sleeping is one thing but getting a comfortable sleep is another. Most at times we just the little things that can make our sleep memorable and comfortable. We are always too busy even to pay attention to our sleep. Well just go down these steps and apply them so that your sleep time will worth more than what it used to be.

Sleep

1. Focus on what you eat and drink near sleep time.
